The dinner last night was wonderful. In the past few months, when we've gone out for dinner, we seem to talk about the R - I think it is just H's way of keeping things calm, since we are in a public place. Also the length of the conversation is limited to the amount of time in between bites of food - lol. Whatever the reason, that is when he seems the most comfortable so I leave it at that, at least he's talking right?

Last night was a little different though. We did talk but it wasn't so heavy. We seem to be in a much more content place the last few days and it feels nice. I don't know if it is the nice weather, where we are in C or our R, whatever it is, I don't really care, it's nice!!

He woke me up to a "Happy Mother's Day" and is out having coffee with a friend of his right now. Then we are going to visit my oldest daughter and her bf and go for lunch somewhere (the parents always seem to buy, but that's ok too. It's time together that we all seem to enjoy.)

Tomorrow is the first session with the C regarding the sexual aspect of our R, so that should be interesting.

U2?

Most of the time I buy for everyone, kids and grand kids, nothing fancy. If they have a problem, they can buy.

Glad to hear you and H had a pleasant evening.

Well, the day went even better than expected. We went to the daughter's, expecting to pay for lunch, and I was surprised because not only did she get me a beautiful and touching card, she made us an incredible lunch (ceasar salad, garlic bread and lasagna - all homemade). Sure glad I taught that girl to cook - lol

Heywyre,

So glad things are going well for you right now :-)

My day was very simple...woke up late to my H cooking breakfast and as soon as I walked out of the bedroom our 4yr old son comes running at me yelling "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!" followed by a HUGE hug and kiss from him. That made the day right there, didn't need anything else :-)

Your lunch sounded scrumptious though.

Awwwww - nothing nicer than a young child's hugs and kisses huh?

Now, having a H that cooks is quite the treat too - what I would give for that, hmmmmmm. Oh well, can't have everything eh?

LOL,

Breakfast is about the only thing he does cook, besides stuff on the grill...or his chili, but I'll take it :-) As for my son, yeah...that made my day right there, nothing else was necessary.

Hey -- I just read the thread. I didn't realize this was "your" thread, I thought it was just kind of discussing the "syndrome." Glad I opened it up. I'm so glad you & H are doing so well \:\)

Thanks CM

It's a tough road but at least I have a name for "it" now, which comforts me somewhat. I will take it one day at a time and hopefully the C will have some insight for us this afternoon

I think it's awesome that he'll go to C! I know that will be such a huge benefit for you guys. And like you've said before, you love him no matter what and hopefully if he can work through this, it will just be an added bonus!

Yes, the fight has been long and hard to get him to go to C, and we have seen a couple before this guy, but he seems to do well with the one we have now and have made incredible progress over the past 7-8 months. Now we will be centering in on the W/M complex so that should be interesting, to say the least

I will keep everyone posted because I think it is important, not only for myself, but to others on here to know they are not alone and there is help out there. GEL can attest to that.
