65, It sounds like she is trying to come around to you, I wonder if leavimg the classifieds around and mentioning the moving out at various times is a hint for you to bring up the fact that she doesn't have to leave.
You said you want to open up the lines of communicatin to her. You might try telling her that she can talk to you if she has something that is bothering her or that she just wants you to know about, and that you will listen and not chastise or be negative about it,(i think you get my drift). don't push her to talk but let her gentley know she can without ramifications on your end,(DBing you know). you are doing a great job thus far keep up the good work. jak
