Never say never...I thought the same thing about my H when all of this his happened...
Babybliss gave some real sage advice...that stuff written from the husband's perspective was good...parts could have been written by my H...
Oh and asking about the alcohol...well, my H had that issue as well...I have suspected at times over the course of our marriage that might have a problem although he could go for long periods and do fine...he finally came to admit that he was out of control and has stopped drinking totally...his father, grandfather, brother, uncles, maternal grandparents, and more were ALL alcoholics...so really, it was a matter of time for him...
I know how you feel about the name...but you know what...invite him to the birth...if he doesn't make it...then hold on off naming the baby until he visits you both and then tell him that you two never really came to a decision on the name that you BOTH liked and maybe start talking about names then...after you see her...you might both decide that the names considered don't fit her and come up with something totally different...
but, as Babybliss stated...as long as you still want this M to work it is probably best not to rock the boat...
