Some of the advice that I have recieved from people is that a if your W starts talking to a L that the L will advice them to push you into doing something that you will later regret. I guess the logic here is to turn the sitch legally in favor of your S. If that doesn't work a L will advice them to play nice until they have their ducks in a row and then spring everything on you. I guess this shows that they tried to make things work and your M can nolonger be saved. Either way it is pretty messed up if you ask me.
