My H, now in full blown MLC started out with cologne, new clothes, text messaging, hair cuts every week, new motorcycle, parties, EA, and now PA, myspace, parties every weekend.
Awww... the joys of reliving one's youth. I do worry about the multiple PAs. Just as I thought this was winding down, it wound back up.
I thought h was coming home but then he turned 40!!!He is the worst part of the crises now.
He started with marathon running, moved out, soccer, obsessive marathon running, lavalife profile, ow1/2. Now ow3 but no more soccer and running as almost come to a halt too. But it seems video games are on the increase again.
So again no rhyme or reason to this stuff. Just plain insanity!!!

I am so happy I found this thread ! my H's addiction is the OW... then came the new phone and visiting relatives, but no new clothes until a yr after OW came into picture.
but the haircuts... obsession he never had before..really he would go for 10 wks and now monthly and at one point 5 months ago it was every 2 wks. and ugly... balding men don't alway look better with short hair like he thought !!! but gee... was it OW's suggestion and she loved it??? don't think so for he only did it that once
he has one pr of really ugly shoes he bought or she bought? he is working out since last fall. Had not worked out on a reg basis in yrs.
so many similarities yet so many differences between these men.

My H's OW is from Czech republic and has a very heavy accent. She has known H for about 15 months and they have virtually been living together since day 1. If that's not being a whore I don't know what is! Until 4 weeks ago she hadn't worked for 12 months and yet H has been supporting her financially etc etc. Compared to the pittance he has been giving me for the kids (and non for the mortgage) she has really been living it up.
My kids hate her, I certainly do not wish her well
Worst of all my MIL seems to have just replaced me for OW as well. I've given a lot to my MIL over the years as her first H (my Hs dad) died just after we married. She hasn't ever lived with us but she might as well have done so. We did very little without her in tow and now she does this. No wonder my H still has not hit rock bottom he has his mommy's apron strings to stop him from hitting the ground!

I look at this thread as a place to find peace in the fact that others are feeling some of the same angry upsetting mind boggling things that I am. I walk away from this thread feeling that I am not making up some of this stuff in my head .... it is real and I am not going crazy.
I am glad to have a place to vent the icky stuff and no one gets upset.
also could have used this thread a yr ago when I really did think I was the only one who heard all this stuff being said and done. thanks
