Hi gang,

It's a good time for a new thread, and not just because my old one locked yesterday. \:\)

Last night, I made my final presentation for my MBA - started 17 loooong months ago. I aced it, of course. No more studying!! No more homework!!! I can already feel myself starting to "decompress." Between this and the weather getting nice, I'm feeling myself starting to gear up for some prime PMA/GAL again after having eased up a little bit. Watch out!

This thread's title is brought to you by Van Halen. Dreams has always been one of my favorite songs - looking back on the past year, it's amazing how well some of the lyrics fit the whole MLC/DBing experience to me...

World turns black and white
Pictures in an empty room
Your love starts fallin' down
Better change your tune
Yeah, you reach for the golden ring
Reach for the sky
Baby, just spread your wings
...
Run, run, run away
Like a train runnin' off the track
Got the truth bein' left behind
Falls between the cracks
Standin' on broken dreams
Never losin' sight, ah
Well just spread your wings
...
So baby dry your eyes
Save all the tears you've cried
Oh, that's what dreams are made of
'Cause we belong in a world that must be strong
Oh, that's what dreams are made of

Yeah, we'll get higher and higher
Straight up we'll climb
Higher and higher
Leave it all behind
Oh, we'll get higher and higher
Who knows what we'll find?
...
And in the end on dreams we will depend
'Cause that's what love is made of

Rob, I am so appreciative of your guidance and suggestions throughout this whole journey to date. You are certainly an inspiration to many on these boards. You are my dose of reality in how things go in this sitch.
Great to have the GAL/PMA going with the weather. Congratulations on reaching the end of your MBA, I hope it brings many good fortunes to you and your family. That feeling of accomplishment and relief is amazing. I went through the same last year at this time with my MAT completion.

Peace! Love! DB! End of School!

Congrats on your MBA buddy. I know how much relief you must be feeling right now.

So is it really your birthday or is Dana just a little wacky?

If so, Happy Bday as well.

Thanks everybody. Yep, I am 45 years young today!!!!

Tonight we are having a few friends over for drinks and appetizers, then going to see our kids perform in the "pit" for the high school musical ("Barry Manilow's Copacobana"). We learned back in middle school that being just a little sloshed makes the musicals MUCH more enjoyable. ;\)

(BTW hb, MBA = Masters of Business Administration \:\) )

Congrats on the presentation. Of course you have to USE that MBA now. You will find you will use only a small percentage of it. After all, college does not teach you anything except how to think in a disciplined way.

Enjoy the day. You are at the midpoint of life. Don't waste what is left.

Where do you see yourself in five years? How are you going to get there?

Strength and Honor.
