Let's say for instance we are talking about what to buy the kids for Christmas. The next sentence will be about something that happened at work. A day or two LATER (not the same day or even the same hour) he will blurt out "how about we get a bike" or something. DUH!!! and that relates to ?????? He's talking about the Christmas present and all of a sudden something came to mind. Not, "I was thinking about the Christmas presents and ...."
