Lou,

Actually what you and I are talking about is different than what my H does....what you do, wouldn't bother me. When my H does that...I usually pick right up too, sometimes I'm slow on the uptake but I usually pick it up.

What I'm talking about is more like this for example....

Let's say my husband and I had been discussing our days at work...we both work in the airline industry so this is common for us to do...lets say he just finished telling me about a Heavy C check they did that day. Then he stops...is silent for a bit, busies himself doing something in the kitchen or with our son and says "I need a faster processor." That's it...and he expects me to know what he's talking about. That is actually a good example of what really happens. Yes, it is a complete sentence...but he's not only barely given me a clue as to what he's talking about...he's also switched topics without warning.

We'd been talking about a completely different topic....and all of the sudden this snippet pops out. So I'll ask him "what are you talking about?" His response to me would be..."I was talking to one of the guys at work today who does online gaming and he told me that I really ought to get a faster processor for out computer to up my gaming speed." Now, while that is remotely related to "work" it's completely off topic from what he had been speaking about and I'm left going "huh? What does that have to do with what we were talking about?" I don't generally say that...but I will say something like "That was out of left field."

I find that a bit different than us talking about our days at work....and then picking right back up on the topic we were on, with the Heavy C Check. He often does this...and switches topic without warning. Do you do this? If so...quit it!!! It drives women crazy, and not in a good way LOL
