...often he drives me nutz because he'll start a sentence mid-though. GEL, I think that is some what common.
When talking with someone in a work situation, talking shop or about a current job, people use the shortened version of what they are thinking.
When I was at work, I knew a fair amount of what another person was doing and if they said something I filled in some details. People at work usually limited their talk to work or some shallow personal items.
I think topics discussed at home are more varied and have more depth so not stating more details/context is a problem.
BB and I can be talking about something when the phone rings and after the call is over, I pick up where I left off. BB looks at me like "what are you talking about."
Some times about the same thing happens when the dogs bark at what ever dogs bark at. It might have been 10 seconds later and if I pick-up where I left off, I get that "what are you talking about" look.
The other problem I have, if I start out talking like I am reviewing the previous conversation, I get the other look "yes, I know already." I try to chalk it up as differences in communication style.
He doesn't realize he's just started talking mid-thought and didn't put the whole thought out there for me to understand what he was saying....he's REALLY unaware. I remember that idea being brought up before.
Did I read something and think BB also read it so she doesn’t need me to explain the topic to her? Did I post something here and also told BB, so if I bring the topic up again, where do I start, how much back-ground do I give or restate so BB is on the same page, w/o boring her?
