ANother idea, pws....if you sold your horses that you teach with....is there any way that you can find another person in the area, with horses, that needs someone to teach riding? Get paid for your skills.

I assure you, getting a job will be like a breath of fresh air for your soul.

but i wanna go for my MA teaching license to teach in that state...as well as looking into national certification in a well respected program to have something to hang after my name.

pws,

We are the same age and let me tell you a little secret. I didn't get my teaching degree until I was almost 50. I started going to college in 1999 with only 9 credits from 20 years ago. Now I will be beginning a Master's in Counseling in the fall. It is never too late to start a new career. Despite H leaving as soon as I got a job, I will never regret the hard work it took to get my degree. To be honest, I think H was jealous that I actually finished my degree as he has been "working on getting his" for the whole 20 years I have known him.

OW is right up his alley, he has been "working on getting" hers for a while, too. Not that H hasn't been successful in his career without it, so I don't see what difference it makes but he is very competitive, so I shouldn't have a degree and him not. Also, everytime we saw his mom and dad, MIL made a big deal out of my success, I think it bothered him. Right after he left, he was bragging to people including my sisters about how proud he was of me. Makes no sense at all. But that is not the point I was making, it is never too late. Find something you really could see yourself doing for the rest of your working life and go for it, you will be glad you did.

When is your birthday, pws? I think we have the same first name, too.

Everything happens for a reason, maybe Dad needs to find that it isn't better out there, he needs to realize how good he had it here. Maybe he will find God and that is the most important thing when he finds Him he will know he is supposed to come home.
