DSH, You did exactly what I'd have done. And my H does ask about my dad often. He knows that my dad would welcome him in if he ever went to visit. He even mentioned one time that he thought of stopping to visit as he was within a couple miles. He ended up being in a car with others, so did't stop. I don't know if he actually would have, but, he knew he could. And, my dad does know the full extent of this. I even mentioned to H once that my dad tells me to hang in there, these things tend to pass. I just wanted him to know that my family would welcome him back, and that shouldn't ever be a roadblock to him, if he should choose to come home.
