The weekend went pretty well. My dad enjoyed the museum, and my mom was in a less-pushy mood for a change. \:\)

D15 took along a friend and they had a good time at the museum. This inspired us to invite a friend along for an end-of-the-summer beach trip we've been planning. W and I spent last night hunting the Internet for cheap condos to rent - planning vacations is always an "upper" for her, so that was a good thing to work on together.

A pretty good week. W was on a biz trip one day, but other than that a lot of relaxed and good interactions with both her and D15.

Settled on a condo for August and lined it up. Looks like we will be taking a friend of D15's, and maybe a single FF of W's as well. The more the merrier!

Tonight we go to dinner with the family of the friend of D15's, should be fun. Nice to get out with new people.

Other than that, working to wrap up my MBA (4 more weeks of class!!!!) and keep on top of the music booster stuff. It's all good... \:\)

Hi Rob
Just stopped in to say I don't think I'm going to keep up with my thread anymore. W told me she wants things rapped up before summer. She says she wants it done before it gets ugly. Meaning she wants to date and is afraid if she dates before the stuff is settled I will be a prick about it. So it is done for me. I'm going to lurk and maybe make the odd comment, but I would say I'm done here. I wish you all the best, I could count on you for support and I will always appreciate that. Take care, 4

Thanks for dropping by, 4. Sorry to hear you throwing in the towel, but I understand we all have to decide what our own limits are...

Hey Rob-o....

It sounds like things are back to "normal" in your neck of the woods. Sorry to hear about D's depression, but all the comments about just being a non-judgmental listener apply. That's the one thing that will make a difference in a child's life. I never talked to my parents about things I was going through because they never listened, they just pushed the party line. It wasn't safe to talk to them, so I didn't.

And, ain't that the truth about DBing everyone in your life! I've got two co-workers I'm DBing like crazy.....

Thanks, SD, that's just what I'm trying to do.

Nice to hear from you, girlfriend! Don't be a stranger, ya hear?

Hi Rob
Just found out W has been in an EA since before the bomb in Oct, just wondering if you could give some advice to me in MLC. Thanks Rob, 4

Hi gang! Just a little catching up...

Had a pretty nice weekend, mostly hanging out inside (weather was lousy). Went shopping with W and D15 for some summer clothes for D15. Wound up at VS, which usually PO'ed W in the past, because they rarely stocked her size bras and told her to order them online - she found this very insulting. Anyways, I was prepared for a similar experience, but then I started finding bras in her size. Her attitude turned around - dropped about $200 on underwear there! Most was not too racy, but in fun colors. I'm taking it as a good PMA thing for W, and of course I wanted a fashion show! ;\) I guess it was kinda interesting, D15 wanted to try bras on too - sort of a bizarre mom-daughter bonding thing going on in the dressing room! D15 wound up getting a bra as well - I guess she really liked the way it augmented her assets... What's a dad to do!?

Had a fun, relaxed evening out with Ian and Ben on Sunday. Honestly, it was a little weird to me at first, meeting someone from here in real life, but Ian is so personable and friendly that I was over that quickly. \:\) Really looking forward to Memphis with the bigger group in a few weeks.

Still wrapping up school work - one big final project and presentation to go, and then I am free, free, free! Senioritis is an ugly thing, let me tell you.

Starting to put some more energy into my music booster activities. Between school, work, and the winter blahs, I honestly haven't given that the time and effort that it needed. Gonna bump it up again on my GAL activity list!

Finally, D15 is still struggling with teenagerhood and depression. Last night saw a colossal blowup over (once again) her being irresponsible about a variety of stuff. Unfortunately, she works herself up so quickly sometimes that she gets to the point of screaming irrationality. Makes an alien-possessed spouse seem absolutely calm and sane in comparison! She seemed a lot better this morning, hopefully we're done with that for a while...

W and I watched Dancing with the Stars last night. Silly, but we both really love that show! It's so nice to have comfortable "chilling on the couch together with a drink time" again. \:\)

Oh lordy Rob.... Bra shopping? Do we have to endure this in "piecing"?

Just kidding. I'm glad to see you guys getting along so well.

Hey Rob you sound good, glad you keep updating, it's good to hear all your patience paid off. You've done well.
If you get the chance too would you drop in on SD? I know you probably will anyway, it's just she's having a rough time right now \:\(
