There was a young man that was unhappy with life in general. His appearance and attitude were dismall. He turned to the Lord and prayed that the Lord would help him in some way. One day as he awoke he saw an angel. He said "who are you?" The angel relpied, "God sent me as an answer to your prayers" The young man said, "I feel no different". The angel said "look in your front yard." The young man got up and looked to find a huge boulder in his front yard. He looked at the angel and the angel said "that is your gift from God" The young man looked puzzled. "What am I supposed to do with that?". The angel gave him the instructions from God. "If you truely believe that God is your savior, God's request is that for everyday for one year, you go out and with devotion, you pray hard and try to push that rock out of your yard. You will succeed in your prayers if you obey the word of God." The young man said "there is no way I can move that rock." But he agreed to try.
So with great determination the young man went to that rock everyday for one year. He had days of great resolve and he had days of severe despair, but he persevered. He finished God's request for the entire year.
On the 365th day the angel reappeared. The young man was dismayed. "I have done as God requested, I was diligent in obeying the word of God, but what have I received? The rock is still in my yard". The angel quietly held up a mirror and the reflection showed a well strengthened, handsome young man, standing tall and proud. The angel left a note that said P.U.S.H. and the angel vanished. The young man took the note and read it, and placed it on a table by an open window. A slight breeze picked up and fluttered the note to the floor. On the back side of the note was written,
