You know if she was awake and she remembers she will tell us but we will have to wait till late tonight or even Monday night to hear the story!

Okay just for that maybe I WON'T post now....

Nah!!

Hi all,

Feeling pretty wiped out right now, and we're supposed to be heading out to a bar (karaoke) for a send of for my best pal MJ's older Bro. He's off to work in California.

Had the all-day prep of my famous pasta shells. Anyone care to guess which SIX different cheeses are involved?

CJ finished the wallpaper and we found a nice border to go with it. We're going to try and tackle that after dinner.

Tonight it's the shells with grilled red peppers on the side. The wine: Fetzer's Zinfendel/Shiraz.

After I got all 105 shells made , and cleaned up I just HAD to crawl into bed.

As for the "jumpin'" I alluded to...I did make an overture last night (rather a suggestion) but CJ said he was feeling gross from working on the wall all day and no shower (when we wash clothes and run the dishwasher we run out of hot ).

He did join me this morning, but I had to settle for some snuggling and a very nice back rub/scraping by his bristly chin .

Okay, gotta check on the peppers....

Shiny

Well dinner was great (this is CJ's all time favourite meal...he even admitted as much when he was almost leaving for OW ), and the wine a very nice choice...a bit peppery, medium bodied, fruity undertones.

CJ is now putting up the border on the wallpaper...I was going to help him, but he just popped in here and said "Just keep posting, I can do it myself and surprise you later"

Looks like we're NOT going to the bar...just as well for me as I'm really not up to it tonight.

Gosh, that makes FOUR weekends in a row of not going out...I believe that's a life-time record! (if you don't count times of illness).

Hi Shiny

I wanted to thank you for popping into my thread over on mlc. I finally found some time this weekend (I am at my parents' house) to reply to you. I took some time and checked out one of your old threads to read some history on your sit. Wow!

Funny how I never believed that mlc existed or was so devastating. I always kinda pictured a guy with his shirt open to his navel, wearing gold chains and driving a fancy red sports car -- never had any idea that it was real and did such damage! I've learned a lot.

Thanks for the invitation to pop over to this forum. I'm not ready to start a thread here, but I shall try to jump in once in a while to visit.

Did you say you were from Ontario? I'm from Alberta. Hope you are having a great weekend!

This is a little, well neat, I was just over in MLC catching up on YOUR thread Annette!!!

I guess we'll just have to fill up your last MLC thread so you have a good reason to join us here!

Funny, when I read the MLC portion of DR I felt SUCH relief to understand some of what CJ was going through. After bomb #2, when he'd "decided to leave for OW"...I asked him to read the depression, MLC and Affairs chapters of DR.

He got a lot from them, but still insisted he wasn't in MLC...either way, it sure is great to have the man I love back!!!

Hi Shiny!

That is funny that you were over in mlc on my thread the same time I was over here. You know what else is neat, I think it is neat to find another mlc LBS who is putting their marriage back together again.! It does really happen then, doesn't it?!!!

What great news!

Yup, it really DOES happen...

It's such a relief to me to now feel SAFE in my M. There wasn't a moment or a day or an event that made this so...it was the process. The ups and downs. Asking questions that I needed to ask...CJ answering.

Now I have fewer and fewer thoughts about his A's, I haven't FELT a question arise in me for...well over a month. Interestingly, my last "bad times" were on the anniversary of bomb#1 (Aug 22)

There is just a sense of closeness, of connection and I can't even put into words how much CJ's recent interest in our home improvements has done toward helping me feel our future is together.

Is EVERYTHING the way I'd like it to be? No. Is it better than a year ago? Without a DOUBT!!! Is it better than the years before that? YES!

Hang in their piecers (and I don't care which forum you're on, Annette and Pam this includes you, too!).
