With encouragement from Pam, BillM and others I decided that the time had come for me to make the real leap over here to piecing.

For those unfamiliar with my sitch you can find the basic summary of it here
Hope or grasping for straws

The turnaround and the progress made can be read about here
The Lightbulb Came On?

Now we can have our party Bill!!! I promised Pam I would break out the DOM so I have it on hand when everyone is ready !

I have looked back on my old threads and have realized that it has only been 2 mos since I have been posting but boy (!) has a lot happened in those 2 mos!!! H and I have gone from not speaking to each other and saying some really hurtful things to interacting BETTER then we did in the beginning of our R. I'm still not really sure about what I did to precipitate H's sudden turnaround. I could make a lot of guesses but which one would be right or was it a combination of everything? H won't tell me...I even asked if he suddenly experienced the GREAT EPIPHANY he had been waiting for but was told no and just given a big smile. I try not to dwell on it, just be happy that it happened Still...it bugs the heck out of me!!! LOL!

I hope I get the tools from Piecing that will help me to continue with the progress that has already been made and pray that I don't do any more backsliding (I did...a lot!)!
THank you in advance for having me here

NEON Huh? I like it!

So get with Bill and lets get this party scheduled! I like partys.

And Zoo, I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!

I still think we ought to be within driving distance and a visit in person some time.

Thank you Sue for the welcome

I am ready to party when you are Pam but I think we really should wait on Bill...can't leave him out . Good thing we got Gripman to do the driving...never been in a limo so that should be fun

I'm not exactly sure where you are in Indiana...noticed you said something about driving to Louisville the other day? Louisville is about an hour and a half drive for me. H goes down there for his Reserve stuff (or will be anyway)...don't know if he would feel like me tagging along with him for the ride sometime or not. He has to go in pretty early (doh!) so that might not work out. It sucks that I'm not allowed to drive myself but I'm sure we can figure something out?

I still have some questions for the piecing crowd. Mainly, where do I go from here ? I bet you get that one a lot huh? I keep doing what has been working, or trying to anyway but I still feel as if I am missing something. I re-read my DR book at least once a week to help keep me on track and I'm hoping to get 5LL here in the next week or so. I keep a solution journal as well to help me remember things. I feel like I'm at a pretty scary juncture right now and I don't want my fear causing me to screw things up (I'm good at that). I have read a few of the posts in this section of the BB and I see a number of people experiencing similar fear but I'm hard pressed to figure out sometimes how they get through it. AM I missing something ?
Thanks,
Zoo

Hi again Zoo,

Yeah, we should wait on Bill!

New Albany is the town I live in, Yahoo search! Probably about 15 minutes from Louisville. You must be sort of west of me because I remember you mentioning Evansville about an hour for you was it?

Early isn't a problem for me, but aren't you a night owl?

I hope you get that fear of screwing things out figured out so you can tell me.

Shiny started a nice thread here I think called Tips for newcomers to Piecing or something like that, looked like it had some good stuff on it.

Good luck, take care, and tell Bill to get on the ball we have a limo to rent and a party to do!

welcome to piecing, seems alot of us NEWCOMERS have made the switch this week!!!

the tips for piecing that pam mentioned is good. but the only advice from reading a bunch here is this. THIS is when the work really starts. you think it was hard getting to this place??? nope, the everyday things are what's going to get to you now. if your prepared for it then you will be ok

WELCOME!!!

Thanks for the tip on the tips Pam , I will have to do a search on it.

Yep, I am definitely a night-owl! H's job basically requires me to be now but I was prior to that anyway. Usually don't go to bed until @ 4 am Haven't heard from Bill recently hmmmm.

Kitti, thank you for the advice and the welcome I am definitely realizing that the day to day work is HARD! H indicates that HE is happy with our progress but I so don't want us to slip back into old habits. We both have slipped up in this aspect a couple of times but were at least able to let each other know when it was happening. THis is a BIG 180 for both of us

Talitsa, thank you for the welcome as well I really like your name, it has a lyrical bounce to it Looking forward to hearing more from you here in Piecing!
