At the top menus next to "my stuff" is a flashing email icon. It is drivng me nuts. I click on it and it goes to email and it looks like I have none, but then I see that I can click on the words "new private message" that has the qord "quota" to the right. If I click on new private message, I see "private messages disabled". Yet I have then enabled in my preferences. How do I get rid of this message and get rid of the flashing email envelope icon? Thanks

It should go away if you click on MY Stuff and messages.

Yes, and with good reason if you read some of the archives. While there may be some instances where people go off to the side that have nothing to do w/ romantic relationships, if you read the archives it is probably net a good idea.
