Hey Thornton! Good to hear from you!!! Also happy to hear things are going good with you and WAW still! That's great! Yeah my WAW is still in Florida. Haven't heard from her since my last update in my thread...around Halloween. I am still dating and going out. Met a lot of new people but also was shocked to learn, by sheer coincidence, that many people I used to run with before I got married and was still going out also divorced/broke up with their significant others this year too! So it's kind of strange that most of the old "going out crew" from the late 90's are all now the "going out crew" again two decades later. Very surreal for all of us to be out again in the clubs (well the 40-something clubs...not the 20-something ones we used to hang out at.
Of course I still think of my WAW often and still wonder what the future will bring but it's so weird...now the whole bomb date seems so, so long ago...a lifetime ago. It feels officially like a different era of my life as time has gone on. Then it occurs to me it has been about 8 months already. I can't believe it. I'm not sure if my WAW story/sitch is over or not, I feel that it probably is at this point though. So strange how life just goes on...months after you though for sure your life was over when WAW left. Retrospect months later really makes a difference...I sure wish I knew I'd feel this at ease with everything several months ago because it really did seem hopeless back then, I couldn't imagine my life without WAW. But life truly does just go on...things change in your life...new routines develop and it makes the old things you were afraid to lose seem not so crucial to your exixtence as they once felt.
In any event, the only thing I can conceive hearing from my WAW about now would be the taxes next year. Our divorce was final November 17. Didn't hear from her at all on Thanksgiving but then again after our last exchange and the way I left it with her I'm not surprised. My family seems to think we will get back together one day. They said if you guys are still texting each other this many months later and having in depth convos as you are...you are both clearly having trouble letting go. Of course my family doesn't understand that it's not an ongoing thing where we text every day...it last for short periods...a day or two...and then we stop talking again. As always I will update my thread with any and all news from WAW...i just haven't heard a peep from her since my last thread update.
