Heather, the main positive I have seen in all this relocation discussion is this... it is for YOU and the girls. Apart from the thoughts on D12 visitation you have not bought up Smokey in all of this. This is YOUR new start and YOU WILL make it work.

I'm not saying it is all going to be easy/straight forward but it WILL work, because you are going to make it work.

If it doesn't give you everything you want in the long term, you will have some more experience under you belt and will find something else, somewhere else.

I think that some distance between you and your family may be a good thing. And starting over somewhere new, you can be who you want with whom you want. No history to be judged by.

Some difficult days ahead but I have no doubt you will be happier when you get there. Good luck Heather. Abxx

Vitamin D - hopefully you're taking at least 5,000 IU/d, and are getting your blood level up to at least 50. Also, get a light box and put it at the breakfast table where you all can use it during breakfast.

The house should not be vacant while you're selling it, (unless it's underwater and you're just going to let it go into foreclosure), so if you have someone who can live there and take care of it while it's being sold, that would be good.

Try to save as much money as possible on moving, so that you can have enough money for rent and utility deposits, and hopefully have enough left over to maybe get into a better vehicle.

Get rid of as much junk as you can - nothing worse than opening up a box in a new place just to find you paid to move a box of useless cr@p you should have just given away.

If you can, do a yard sale to raise some extra funds!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm scared, but excited. I forgot to take my medication yesterday and found my PMA really dwindling. Today, it's back up. Got to keep up with the prayer, medication, Vit D (5,000) per day), gospel music, etc...

Received a call from the Editor today. They are renting out a storefront in the small community where this newspaper is based!! This means that I can allow D12 to come and go as she pleases. She can come and do her schoolwork with me...at MY OFFICE!!

I contacted a realtor today. She is suggesting a Rent-to-Own property close to my office. I agree. There's one house that really speaks to me...but, it's sorta up-in-the-air...still broke, but I AM PRETTY CLEVER...we shall see.

I texted Smokey yesterday. First communication in 16 weeks.

Me: I've been offered a job in Upstate New York. I would appreciate your support. I interviewed/sent resumes to several in Ohio and this is my best offer.

Smokey: That's great. good for you. best of luck to you . when would you start. gonna take dog and cats ? Is it a teaching job ?

Me: Thanks, it's exciting. Editorial. Yes, I would take the dog and cats. Obviously, it would alter the dissolution proposal in terms of support asked, etc...My atty suggested we try to reach an agreement in an effort to avoid handling this between Ohio and NY.

Me: I appreciate your encouragement. Hope things are well with you.

Smokey: Yes it is exciting. I've always supported your endeavors no matter how goofy they were. I figured it would change the numbers and such . what will you be making ? That's the big factor . When will you be starting ?

Me: I will give you more details when I get them.

Smokey: Ok. Again good luck . hope things are well there with you guys. How'd the concert go ?

Me: Very Very loud. Loudest concert I've ever been to. But not a drunk or hint of marijuana in the place. Tame and loud. Lots of little girls all bedazzled for Harry.

(I sent him a pic of D11 at the concert)

Me: The job is in Watertown, NY. Take care, gotta go.

Smokey: Harry and the boys were smoking before they came onstage!! Lol just like Brazil. Go!

I left it there. Same ol' Smokey. Ha Ha...Hasn't reached out to his kids in months and his first question..."How much will you make?" What a d-bag.

Talked to my dad today. He suggested that I tell Smokey that he can have the house (after I talk to the atty) and let him handle it. It was just refinanced...lil to no equity. I would leave whatever is left for Smokey to sort through and take to Goodwill. This feels right. I need to pray more. MORE!!

I'm really excited about the storefront and possibility of a charming lil' house within walking distance. I couldn't have dreamed any better. :-)

Strange how close this is to our vision boards...really, really weird. I encourage everyone to create some vision boards.

It's really hitting me how quickly all of this has turned around. Very grateful to God today.

Heather,

Men and their money! wink Ooops...did I lump in all men into one box???!! innocent look

Now..what's this talk about letting Smokey take stuff to Goodwill when you can easily raise moving money through a yard sale??! C'mon...show me the money!

And before you know it, you'll hit your $50,000 mark by the end of 2015. grin You're on track in hitting that goal.

I noticed the "how much will you make" question but not before he implied that many of your endeavors were "goofy". Whatev dude.

Anyway, your dreams are coming true.

A vision board, huh? Great idea.

I had an interview today at an upscale architectural firm in an exclusive area of town (think $20M homes) and I knocked it out of the park. As i was driving there I remember thinking, "gosh, didn't I say a few months ago, 'gee, wouldn't it be awesome to work for an up and coming architectural firm headed by a woman with incredible vision in a high end area of town??!!!' and here I am on my way to an interview for just that."

It's crazy how the universe works. My gratitude is overflowing today, too.

Garage sale is in two weeks :-) Smokey gets to deal with all the junk that doesn't sell. I CERTAINLY don't have time to deal with hauling crap away!! Have at it Smokey!! :-)

Two really good friends...the ones who helped me budget and lent me the mower for the summer, etc...Well, I owed them $300 plus money for the mower and some repairs they had to do to it. So, I told them that they had first dibs and could take what they wanted that equaled $500.

It feels good to pay them back. One less thing weighing on me. I don't have a whole lot left that's worth much...but, I'm willing to have a sale...it will help me get organized and maybe earn a little.
