BA, wish you were here to go be SO INTO US with me and GG! We made a date to go, so I'll try to post photos on FB when we go. Something tells me we won't be the youngest or the oldest there. And then we can play the penny slots to boot...
Hope everyone's week is off to a good start!

Hey Bets - sounds like a fun evening, just what I need right now so I'm sorry I can't make it. However I look forward to the pictures.
Looks like the DC area is in line to get a nice little snow storm this week. D17 and D15 are already counting on at least one and maybe two snow days! :-)
GM - My girls have had several snow days already. D17 doesn't care because as a Senior her school year cannot be extended. Once they graduate on June 17th the Seniors are done. D15 on the other hand will have an extended school year to make up the days. I suspect that school here will be cancelled for both Thursday and Friday if we get the amount of snow they are forecasting.
Sigh, I know. My D19 and her BF are due to fly in to DC early Thursday morning from Syracuse. It's not looking good! She's got her mini-break and chose to go to her grandparents' house to get away. Yikes!
We haven't had any snow days yet, and only 1 late arrival (which is a measly half hour for high school and 1 hour for elementary and middle school. I wonder why they feel that is sufficient - what a joke). Of course, we haven't had any snow over 7-8 inches where i live either. We'll probably get it in April, and probably over Easter.
My dad told me that he just saw the weather models - one shows 3-4 inches and the other 20. They're comparing this storm to the one back in 1987. I lived there then and had to abandon my car on Rt. 50 because a bus tipped over sideways and closed the thing down. I actually hoofed it 4 miles home in dress shoes! So good luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed that is less rather than more.
Will you hate me if I tell you it's going to be 60 here on Friday?

I know, and I'm truly sorry for that. I don't know where you live, but that whole corridor sure has had a lot more cold and snow than normal. And on the west coast, they're in a horrible drought. We're still in one too, which bodes ill for summer fires. Our only saving grace is that the last storm (Sunday-yesterday) dumped 35 inches in the mountains. It helps the snow pack, especially since the Front Range gets most of its water from snow pack.
I'm trying to be a good sport and ask for some here. I'd rather have winter in winter than winter in spring - when I'm more than ready to move on. My birthday is in early April, and I can't tell you how pissed I am when I have snow on my day. Since I moved here in 1991, it's more than 10 times. YUCK!
Wouldn't it be good if the weather would be evenly distributed and fair? Oh. But then none of us would have ever been here and life would have been fair. Damn.

We're in the mid to high 70s. I love it but it makes me a bit nervous for the summer. And we could still get a snow dump from one of those winter storms that sometimes dips down this way.
