Just wanted to post a success story, you can look at my profile to see where i came from. But just wanted to say thank you all for your support and to Michele for writing the books! Wife mentioned divorce last Aug. 2012 and here we are in June of 13 and we are back together. There was a lot of heartache and heart break but with the words of wisdom DB gave me i have been able to do the right things to get me where i am. for the past two months we have been living together but it wasn't until yesterday night that she finally said she does want to be with me for sure. I am so so so so excited. She did have one condition tho.... That we never go back to our old ways... I said ABSOLUTELY!!! This morning before she left for work she even came up to me and said i love you and gave me a a kiss. That's the first time in a long long time she has done that. I didn't think it would work at first but once i truly let go and was ready to move on things started to turn around. It was not easy at all, i had SO many set backs its not even funny but once i was finally able to its like she saw she was going to lose me and it gave her some change of heart. I did everything wrong at first but ITS NEVER TO LATE... i am proof. DON'T GIVE UP!!!

With all due respect (congratulations for saving your marriage), I think you should move this thread to Newcomers. After all, they are the ones who need to read your encouraging story.
The rest of us have already been through divorce, and those of us who are here are working on finding ways to cope, date and love post-D. In our case, the barn door is open and the animals have long fled for greener pastures.
"There are only 2 ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle."
So happy to hear your story & continued joy for years to come. I agree that Newcomers would love to read your story but also Mid Life Crisis and aware Separated etc. barb
