just wanted to take a moment and ask that we ALL be in prayer for those childern and school staff that lost their lives today... How sad that this had to happen especially this time of the year. I pray God will give them all peace and give them comfort in their time of need..... My problem with MLC is nothing compared to this....God's grace be with them...Irma
Why? These were little innocent children and their teachers. What mind would say it's okay to slay them? Only evil would do this.
My prayers go out to them, and those who survived too.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families, co-workers and friends of the deceased. May God gather them into his arms and keep them safe from further harm.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
I work in an elementary school. Yesterday, I took a personal day as I do every year around this time.
I was out running errands and when I came home I took care of my purchases and turned on the computer to the terrible headline. My heart broke as I read what happened. To know that the parents of those children and the families of the adults that lost their lives will forever be changed. No second chances for any of them.
Knowing that we live in times where this could have happened at anyone of the schools across our country. I constantly ask myself what has gone so wrong that people even think about this type of thing much carry it out?
As a child, that something like this could happen never even entered my mind, much less those of our teachers and parents. As for the surviving children of that school their innocence is forever lost. What a terrible legacy to have to live with.
How sad that as other schools wake up to the fact that it could have been them, we now will prepare the rest of the children for this possibility. Less innocence, more fear.
My thoughts and prayers go out to their families and friends, also. May God keep us all in His loving arms.
