Very happy to have found this site. It's been almost a month since my wife of 10 years told me she did not love me anymore and wanted a divorce. Since then, I have been doing everything wrong.
The DR book is supposed to be in today. I look forward to reading it and getting a grip on my life.
The last time she and I talked, I told her I felt 3 ways about it. 1--I wanted to do whatever it takes to save our marriage 2--I would just go along with her idea of a no fault divorce. 3--I wanted to make the divorce as messy and ugly and nasty as possible.
As of now, I still want #1 as much as anything but I don't know if it is even possible. We have a 5 year old son and it kills me to think how this is going to hurt him.
She is so cold and emotionless when we talk. Like the 11 years we have been together mean nothing now. It really bothers me.
I plan a longer post with more details soon. I just wanted to introduce myself and what is gong on.
I too was very lucky to have this site. It's great to be around other people who know what you're going through.

I have read and re-read the rules several times and to be honest half of them seem counter intuitive. But I plan to follow them as close as I can. Starting today, no more emails or txt through the day. We normally email each other several times a day. Funny thing is, she actually emailed me first at about 4 to ask me something that could have waited til she got home at 5:30
The other thing is I went to the hospital to volunteer as part of my plan to GAL. I got home not long after her and she was immediately asking where I had been and why I was dressed up.
