Thanks so much everyone! Sad and Sam in particular.

CJ called a lawyer yesterday who said it whiffed of gold-digging and pressing charges would not give her that. She doesn't have the funds to go civil.

The laywer was pretty sure she'd have a tough time finding a lawyer to take her case given her massive history of instability. She called here several more times, hung up a lot, and called all of CJ's siblings. She even told his little brother (who as far as I know she hasn't accused of anything) "I don't want your money, ***". Huh?

I feel sorry for her, she's clearly anguished and troubled, but please, please don't bring it home to US!!

My exams were rather stressful yesterday. Turns out the perfectionist here printed out the second-to-last version of one of the tests and it was full of errors in the numbering. Oy! What a pain.

Today I must pull it together and work on the course outline for my Abnormal Psych class (ha ha ha!) which starts in one week.

You're right Sad, I think I will focus on that, use it as my anchor as it is a source of great inspiration to me.

Don't worry, I'm Xanaxed pretty good. I see my doc about the kidney ultrasound tomorrow. After our next C session.

Is it too early to just go back to bed????

I can't believe you mentioned going back to bed at this time of a day. I was going to make a lot of posts and try to encourage some people... but now... my eyelids are getting heavy... so heavy... I think I will go back to sleep again myself.

Hey SB.

Glad to hear you had a good weekend away (albeit some difficult feelings at times), but I'm sorry to hear about your most recent troubles. It's unfortunate that those who are on the edge try and pull everyone else into their pain. I agree with SBH-SAM, deal with it using an attorney and try to remember she is in a lot of pain to do what she is doing.

How awful for you and CJ. Stay strong.

Hello Folks,

It's a lovely sunny afternoon here, perfect day for raking and such. CJ's doing just that. As for me...well I overdid it yesterday. Shinybear's remedy for unwarranted exhuastion: rake like a maniac for over an hour.

My doc didn't look too happy about the results of my ultrasound. Seems my kidney is chock full of stones again, some up to a half inch long. Kidney is swollen too.

So he looks at me all serious and says "So what are we going to do next?" I was rather taken aback, I thought that was HIS area of expertise. So long story short I'm waiting for a call from a new specialist in town. Doesn't look good though.

Did I mention earlier that the city we went to for our getaway is the same one that does a nonsurgical treatment for kidney stones? I'd sent the place my CT scans, Xrays etc months ago. While we were there we figured we'd check the place out and pick them up.

So we called. Turns out the place burned down. If it didn't hurt so much I'd laugh right now!

Okay so to take my mind off the pain and implications (like 500+ final marks to put together, 7 late writers, and a new course starting in 5 days)...I'm a gonna check on some of you
