Went to visit my son in Florida for 4 days. Ex must have texted and called me and my son at least 10 times. I certainly did not expect that. In one of his texts to me he said, "I hope your having fun".
Anyway, the trip was lovely and me and the two kids bonded so well and we had lots of fun. Weather was 60-70's and we even missed a big snow storm at home.
Just taking one day at a time and not expending too much energy on ex's antics.....

Trusting, I'm glad you had the opportunity to get away for a few days. Your xh is jealous of your trip....he's dying to know what you did and when....that's the way mlcers are at times. They don't want to be w/you, but they also don't want you to have more fun than they do.
Take care of yourself.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
Snod, I believe every word that you said. That is exactly how it seems to me. My ex prefers me miserable and pining for him, well not anymore.....

Trusting, I may be wrong, but many of the mlcers are very, very competitive and unfortunately, to them it becomes a pissing contest, whereby they always want to "one up us".
I've noticed it quite a bit on the board and I've experienced it w/my own xh. It's very sad because we aren't in competition w/them...who really would want to be?

Mid life crisis or not, my ex is highly competitive. It was only when I started excelling at my job and making wonderful new friends did he start viewing me as the enemy.

Trusting, Your xh thought that you should have remained right where he left you. He didn't want you to excel in your position nor make new friends. I honestly believe that they want us to be as miserable as they are and not succeed. It's too bad that they don't realize that the world doesn't revolve around them and life doesn't stand still.

My ex does that too. The whole victim mentality. That drains the life out of me.
