Been a busy, busy day!!

Landlord has decided to paint and re carpet my place...finally! I've only lived here almost 10 years! He picked out the carpet (which won't be cream!) And he let me pick out the paint so I've been looking at paint samples and have decided to go with a light mocha. He stopped by tonight and told me they will be painting this week so I've been busy taking everything off the walls and arranging things so they can get in here and paint. All I have to say is thank God I am an organized woman or else I would be freaking out by now. (Well, I still sort of am) smile

Having this done makes me feel so good. This place will feel more like mine, and I won't have gross carpet and might actually want to have people come over. It gives me something to look forward to.

My ex husband is going to help move furniture when they carpet at the end of the month, and I am so appreciative that he is willing to help. When push comes to shove, we are there for one another when it really matters.

Never heard a peep out of H regarding his bday, but like I said, I didn't expect to so it is what it is. I was nice enough to say it, and I don't regret that.

I'm doing a 5k on saturday in memory of my step siblings mother who died of a brain tumor. I am looking forward to that, and praying for nice weather!

Sounds like lots of little things are going well for you DG! Sometimes that the key to happiness, focusing on all the little victories and minimizing the other things.

Good luck on the 5k this weekend! I know the weather the next state over is forecast to be nice, hope it extends westward.

I can't believe I actually went a few days without writing about my sitch. I've been crazy busy with trying to get things somewhat organized in my place. The painter is going to start painting tonight and I am very excited. This is exactly what I need.
I got my hair done last night after work and I just love it, then had parent/teacher conferences for S10, and got home in time for my B to arrive from Arkansas.

We are participating in a 5K tomorrow and I hope the weather is decent.

No word from H, but that is to be expected. We are not friends on FB, but I would go look at his profile pic once in a while and I finally decided I was done torturing myself and blocked him so he can't see me and vice versa. I am feeling the same way about the cell phone records too. Something Valeska said about her mediation made me think. This isn't about him, this is about me loving myself more. When I get the urge, I remind myself that I need to love myself enough to realize I don't need to be doing these things.

I heart all of this DG! Keep on creating these joyous moments in your life.

And good luck with your 5K. I hear running can be very therapeutic!

You guys are so funny. DG & running are not used in a sentence together. It was a walk. I went with a bunch of family (step siblings) and we had shirts made up in her memory. It was a beautiful day and we couldn't have asked for better weather.

It was a 2 hour drive to get there and am currently on my way home. I am anticipating a nap in my future.
I hope the painter finishes up today. The color looks awesome!

It's called mocha, but it's actually pretty light. It looks awesome. My kitchen is done so I'll be able to get that back in order now and he's finishing up the rest tomorrow.
