We've been here before...made a commitment that we're going to do something about our sex-life. Then all the good intensions slip away. So I'd like to camp out here for a while and try to get things stabilized on a better path.
Had a recent meltdown, which got me back to this online community and with pretty amazing speed things are going much, much better. Saw my therapist today w H. H doesn't take time for therapy often, though he could really use it, but he makes excellent use of it when he does take the time.
Got to run because miracle of miracles, we have a DATE to go out tonight.

Date went OK. Let's see how the weekend goes. I'm going to try my very best to be a kind, loving, cheerful, supportive wife and not expect anything but be open.
So glad things are better because we have an event for his work tomorrow.

Event for H's work was strange... he and his coworkers seemed a bit standoffish from each other. Fortunately, I caught myself thinking my H ought to make more of an effort then realized "hey, whose side are you on?" and sought to be extra sweet and comforting to him. He wanted to leave fairly early and I was in pretty stable sweet mode by the time we got home. That undoubtedly contributed to him saying some very loving things. He worked at home (better than going in to the office) most of the weekend. I missed a good chance to ML last night. He put on a DVD for me then got bored and went upstairs...I could have gone up but I was enjoying watching and didn't have the V-8 moment till it was over...

My goodness, my project went pretty well over the weekend We've decided to make a ML date every weekend, one day or the other in the afternoon...hopefully we'll follow through. Sure made me very happy!

Since with a 38year old daughter, I looks like you are an empty nester, any way to turn the afternoon into a romantic setting or is that something he wouldn't like. You might be surprised that guys like seduction, picnics, candles and sex on the living room floor or sofa as much as women do?
You might see what you can do to increase his anticipation and make him want it in advance.
Good luck!
>43 years of marriage--My wife and I are now closer than we have been in decades. I believe that my SSM is over.
Hmmm will have to think about how to get creative with that.

Young at Heart and Return10, many of us who used to hang out here (including DQ, Cinco, and others) spend most of our time now at slj.proboards.com. You might want to come over and have a look.
Actually, I've been thinking I should check up on Cinco. I don't see him much either here or over there for the last couple of months. He was making a lot of progress but really struggling with it a few months ago.
