My brother-in-law called me to tell me he finally spoke to my H and my H said he is done. Marriage is not for him he gave it a try and wants to be free. Doesn't mind being a part-time dad. Said he loves me but would only stay in the marriage if we had an open marriage where he could see other people.... WHAT? I don't even know what to do now - he really doesn't love us or me. Told his brother he should have never gotten married. His brother told him he will grow up old and he said he didnt care --- I haven't gotten the book but I think my situation is over - how do you convince someone to be married who didnt want to be married at all.

From what I've read, some walk-away spouses get to the point where they want nothing to do with marriage. This hurts too much, so why do it again? Why do it at all? And some people really aren't suited for marriage. Without knowing your H, it's hard to know where he really falls.
