My marriage is not over yet and I am doing everything I can to salvage it. That said, I am a devoted Catholic and am very worried what happens if my wife divorces me and leaves. I mean, I know what the church's official position is, but what if any feedback has anyone received who has actually gone through a divorce????

Barkley, One is not excommunicated for being divorced in the Catholic Church. It is when one remarries, following a civil divorce which has not been annulled by the Church, that precludes communion.
Is that what you wondering? Greek

bro, don't sweat it, you can remarry if it ever comes to it and I personally don't think you will be ex-communicated from the roman catholic church if you do remarry after getting divorced without an annulment.
you're worrying about something that hasn't happened yet, let's worry about today, instead of worrying about tomorrow.
haha.....not nearly as different as you might think
