That said, I am a devoted Catholic and am very worried what happens if my wife divorces me and leaves. I mean, I know what the church's official position is, but what if any feedback has anyone received who has actually gone through a divorce???? DO NOT TRY AND CONTROL YOUR WIFE. Let her leave. Draw her back over time with the changes you make to your beliefs, thoughts, words and actions..... It is when one remarries, following a civil divorce which has not been annulled by the Church, that precludes communion. Is that what you wondering?
