I'm packing for four of us... preparing for a minimum of nine games (soccer), starting tonight, through Sunday! Guess we're done w/our little "break..." Can't believe outdoor starts within a few weeks. THEN, it gets ugly!

ewe! I am really looking forward to bball being over so that we can all just relax in the house and not have to be going somewhere every night.
hey, because you guys ARE so busy, I was thinking about a speaker at one of our conferences I attended last year named Devi Titus, a pastors wife and author. She truly believes that the reason for so many families, especially christian families is due to the busy lives we lead and the removal of dinner time in the home. She mentioned that the first table was created by God when he made the ark of the covenant, and believes that the table in our home is very spiritual. That the enemy has created such choas in our lives that we are always trying to do what is easy, grab fast food, everyone grab your own meals as your rushing out the door, parents eating at diff times as their kids, or even watching tv etc. and when that happens, no one is getting to have that special connection when you sit at dinner together. I know I'm at fault on this one myself.
I remember a study years ago that talked about kids who ate at least 5 times with the family ended up with a less risk to dropping out, drugs, alcohol, etc. So I know it is important.
What do you think? do you guys get to have family time, and dinner time? Do you think your life is getting too busy? if it is, is there a way to slow it down?
