And Jabez called on the God of Isreal saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indead, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested 1 Chronicles 4:10
I forget to thank God for all the miracles in my life and I certainly forget to ask for more. I don't want to seem greedy and I often feel unworthy. Today I am asking for more miracles and acknowledging all that I have received.
My job seems to be in peril again. I am a good teacher but I work in a small district and my outspokenness for Gay Rights and Fair Treatment are often met with skepticism.
I have been praying to maintain my job. My children are finally thriving again and Cori has a wonderful job...his dream job in fact...and moving would be very painful for all of us.
So I have been praying.
Yesterday I was dropping some outgrown clothes off at the Salvation Army. A woman came up to me and offered me a scripture card with a prayer for hopefullness on it. She said she was drawn to give it to me. Then the Prayer of Jabez literally fell into the cart I was pushing. I decided to buy it.
I read it.
This morning...COri was late for work and had left while I got the kids ready. Nick said Mommy...Finn has something in her mouth. I turned to look and she had a little rubberband, like from a doll, in her mouth I went to her and she clamped her lips shut tight and started choking. I got her to start breathing again but couldn't get that rubberband out.
I called for Cori...even though I KNEW he was gone. To my amazement, I heard him answer me.
His truck wouldn't switch into 4-wheel drive and he had come in to get some kitty litter to help with traction in the slush. He came over when I screamed that FINN COULDN"T BREATH. He flipped her over and she was blue. He dislodged the rubberband and got her breathing again. He is in 1st responder training adn had just gone over CPR again last week. He should have been gone. We should have been gone...it would have happened in the van with no one able to see her.
My baby is saved.
Other things have happened today to let me know that God is working miracles in my life
