My WAW moved out in October. Our son is with me tonight for Christmas, and she was here for dinner and to help me wrap and put the gifts under the tree. She originally had said she wanted to spend the night, and be here when he got up. She changed her mind about that a few weeks ago, and actually thought it would be OK to let herself in at 5 AM so she could be here when he got up in the morning. I never told her that I was OK with that, and when she told me this evening that was what she wanted to do, I told her I wasn't comfortable with her letting herself in while we were asleep. I told her she was welcome to spend the night, either in the guest bedroom or the sofa if she preferred, but that if she didn't want to do that, that I would call her when he got up and we would wait for her before we went downstairs. The last thing I want to do is hurt her, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna let her come sneaking into the house while we're asleep!
