I am in the middle of LRT. My husband left and is renting a room and I am in our house. Last night I was I was doing the bills. He has been gone 3 weeks and since then he has spent almost $1500!! $950 of it is for the room but the rest is concert tickets, eating out, computer supplies, bike repairs, etc. I don't need advice on the money piece of this issue because I know what I am going to do here (open my own account and put my half of the house bills in the joint account to cover) but what do I do with the MAD!! I still want this marriage to work but not sure how to react or how he will react when he realizes I have pulled my checks from the joint account. Any advice would be great!

Thanks
Kelly

KLC, Nothing wrong with feeling mad, it's how you feel. Try to understand why you feel that way. Mad is a negative emotion so carrying it too long is detrimental to you. Clear boundaries and compassion help.

You could do what I do, which is let it burn you up, or you could do what @Coach suggests and acknowledge it and let it go for your own good.

His way is probably better.

KLC, do you work out? When I get really angry, I put it into a workout, and before I know it, Im too exhausted to be angry. Its a really good way, for me at least, to get through my emotions.

And Coach is absolutely right, there is noting wrong with being angry, its totally an appropriate emotion right now. But dwelling on it and not finding some way of resolving it isnt healthy.

I guess I gave the wrong finger to the wrong man...
