Thanks for checking in.
I'm relatively okay; just exhausted.

And kinda at the end of my Al ropes this week; physicAl, emotionAl, financiAl, etc.

Last week, I looked through mediator notes and paperwork.
Let's just say I have been unimpressed with the impartiality of the mediator or the process.
I saw that Gardener had racked up about 10 - 12 concessions to Mrs. let's-just-split-everything-50-50 Gardener. Her concessions? Zero. When latest request for a credit on mileage and wear on her car because it was used exclusively as "family" (us) car. I just had enough.

I fired off two emails, one to stbxw on a couple of points. One to mediator basically taking back almost all concessions and starting over.By the way, to "If it's a good idea now, it'll be a good idea in 48 hours," can be added, "when your off the painkillers for your knee!"
Really, though, the emails were okay just a bit strident in spots. My lawyer will have the final word on that on Tuesday, I imagine. That was a week ago. Mediator's reply to me? Nothing. Not even a "got your e-mail, etc.," acknowledgment.

Within a couple of days, stbxw sends me an email, ignoring mine, requesting I leave out last three years' income tax returns so she can pick them up to copy them. Lawyer time! I had already called mine, am seeing him Tuesday (no idea where I'm going to get retainer $ from).

Latest on home front? S tells me that StepS has been ignoring his texts, etc. for a few weeks. Very unfortunate, very unexpected collateral damage.

I'm off to early bedtime in a bit. I will try to catch up on you guys in the next few days

In case I don't get the time, let me say Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah to all of you and thank you for helping me get through this year.

Well, surprise surprise. Mediator calls me today wants me to summarize my last email so she can see if she can work on this w/stbxw. I responded by telling her that since neither she nor stbx replied in over a week I figured Mediation had broken down and court date, therefore cancelled.

"No, no," says Mediator, "we can still get this done."
"By the day after tomorrow?"

No, I'm not going into rush/panic mode because she and stbx went dark on me.
I'll go to court Wednesday and tell them we need more time.

And I was so looking forward to movin' on over to Surviving the Big D Forum for Christmas.

Yesterday went well for me.

Hadn't seen lawyer since August. He said I looked awful. Hey, I'm burnt out! On all fronts.

Mediator had said on Monday, well, if you're not ready to wrap this up, the two of you still have to go to court tomorrow and ask for a continuance.
Lawyer said, nonsense. Mediator should know better. Call Court, ask for case flow manager, then ask for continuance. So I did. No schlep to court necessary.New Date is january 27th.
Just as well. Didn't want to get D'd the day before Christmas Eve, anyway.

Came home tonight to find a basket of homemade Christmas cookies on the counter. Note attached: "G, Merry Christmas. I wish you peace. Mrs. G."

We always celebrated here at home on Christmas Eve. Everybody went their own way to other family obligations and celebrations on Christmas Day.

Tomorrow night instead of nine of us over here, there will be me and S.

S's WAW and Grandson will be at her folks'.

StepS, StepD, StepD's partner and 9 week old Granddaughter will be at STBXW's new apartment one town over.

StepD and StepS still inexplicably not talking to me or responding. Now ignoring S, too.

She destroyed everything.

The cookies are in the garbage.
