Not sure if this is relevant, but she just took down her facebook profile pic taken at OM's place in BC. It was replaced with an old pic from Christmas 2007, long before we split. It's alweays been one of my favorite pics, and she knows it.

And just for icing on the cake, I get called into the boss's office today and laid off. With a whopping 2 weeks severance pay. Funny thing is compared to the thought of losing my wife and kids, I don't mind this. But it still sucks.

I sorry man! That really does suck. I liked what you said about the way you have grown. Its really important to remember that as a positive here, there are soooo many negatives, if we can keep finding the good things that come of these experiences, it might be enough.

Thanks all.

A friend asked me yesterday how I can stay so cheerful with all I've been through in the last year. My grandfather (last one) passed away, 2 uncles passed away, my wife left me, my family is in shambles, I am on the verge of losing my home, lost my job (and career) yesterday, most of my property and possessions will have to be sold off etc. I replied it's actually quite easy, the only real regret I have is the not really listening to my wife sooner. The rest is out of my control and besides I'm just a big happy kid at heart.

I'm not sure how W will react to this, I'm not going to tell her, let her hear about it from friends and see if she contacts me, but I doubt it.
