Just another quick update: I had a message today. She wanted me to hear my boys. She thought they were being funny. They were both in their respective rooms listening to music on their headphones. My boys are 8 and 5 by the way - still fairly cute kids.

They were both singing loudly, off key, and different songs at the same time. It was pretty funny. \:\/ The point here is that she took the time to call me, leave me a message about it, and actually hold the phone up to it so I could hear it.

She is getting nicer, but I couldn't tell you why or what I've done. I've just been dark for weeks and weeks. We'll see what happens.

If you're still talking to he unless it's about your kids- you're not dark.

The reunion concert must have done wonders for your PMA - nice going! Your w asking about the concert, the iPod songs and then calling you to hear the boys singing are all good signs IMHO. Just keep working on yourself, and taking care of the kiddos. Not sure if w is coming around or not, but the interactions certainly don't hurt.

Kittyfish, that's the point. This is the first thing I have discussed with her other than the D and the kids in weeks and weeks. I have been dark.

mnt_dreams, you're right. The concert did do wonders. I have felt better than I have in weeks.

I saw her again this morning at my sons' school awards. It went well from the perspective that I didn't get emotional about it at all. We sat, talked about mundane stuff, and watched our kids. When it was over, I took the boys to stay with my dad while I went to work. The point here is that I was able to do this without it being a big deal.

I'll pick them up after work. I'm looking forward to a nice weekend. There will be one hiccup though. My sister-in-law [her brother's wife], passed away. The memorial service is at 12:00 PM tomorrow. I'm better these days, but I'm still not looking forward to going.

But, I'm not going to focus on that. I feel better.
