You know Silver, it really doesn't surprise me at all that you weren't checked on. I may have a different outlook to others on here, but when someone is so 'gone' from a relationship whether previously married or not, they just don't give up a single brain cell for their former partners.

I guess it's because 110% of those (admittedly few) brain cells they still have are FAR too busy being concerned about them and how THEY are going to manage.

Oh, I'm not cynical or bitter, just a realist \:\)

Silva..I guess you are right, it just boggles my brain how someone can flip that switch like that. I think, esp for us women, it is so strange to think that you men wouldn't want to at least make sure we are alive LOLOL \:\)

Sadly tho..I'm sure you are right..reality sometimes stinks LOL

I think the thing is T, is that the switch has NOT been just flipped. It's been gradually turned off for months if not years. It only seems like as instant thing. They started drifting into their own little world way before we knew about it.

Their spaceship set off, we were left on earth, every now and again they phoned home (acted normal) but were still out in space. Eventually they got too far away to send a signal back. That's when we suddenly thought...Where ARE they? How could they leave just like that?. They however, were already on planet self. \:\)

The info letter from the mediatior came today. $175 an hour and plan on paying for three hours. Great. Hope H has some credit left on one of his nearly maxed out credit cards. The court requires we split the payment unless other arrangements have been made. Ha! Those other arrangements will be that H pays me back all attorney fees, including mediation, since this is his gig.

I must say that seeing my name first VS. his name, instead of his name VS. me, as it is on the original filing, gave me some sense of control back. Although both names are mispelled. You'd think at $175 an hour the mediator could have double checked that.

Maybe now H will GET IT that I'm contesting and this is not going to be a walk in the park as he first imagined.

Yes, Silva and Tawyna, H has been on Planet Self for a long, long time.

Glad to hear you feel like you're getting some control back. And you're right, make him pay for everything later if he can't handle his half now (although I might be a tad worried that he won't be able to come up with it later either).

Yeah, maybe he'll have to get a second job - like I did to put him through grad school.
