Previous thread

New thread for December! I love it! I spent some time today shopping for the girls and for family and friends. Diving into the gift buying really helps me get in the mood for the holidays. I love picking just the right gifts. Now onto cookie/candy making.

Spent some of the week 'uncoupling' xH and I: insurance, the house, etc. Every time I make a call to take care of everyday issues, I realize its just another thing I need to 'remove' xH from. Its ok, it doesn't hurt, just a hassle at times.

I've been up and down over the last couple weeks. More up this week then down, but last week was super tough. It helped me feel better to make the Christmas lists with the girls, to plan D6's bday party and basically to just jump into life.

Still a big ol' gap. Old husband missing. xH here. It'll get better.

yes it will hon)))) you sound great! plan something out of the ordinary to create new memories and move on. I just joined a meetup for single parents and it is awesome! there are activities every week and I've singed up for a few already, I can't wait.

Bring it TAL! ;\)

Nice weekend. Cut short by having meetings all day Friday, but I got out earlier than expected, so that's good. Breakfast with Santa and a great day with the girls on Saturday.

xH got a new truck. He didn't go really expensive, just got something nice and functional. Donna if you are reading, he passed on the Denali. \:\) The girls LOVE it, can't wait for a ride in it.

Would you guys believe we FINALLY got our stimulus check? After months of fighting with the IRS, they finally reissued a new check to us this week. Someone got our check and cashed it. Silly people. xH and I were going to split the money but he said to use it for bills and Christmas, which I already have. \:\)

Glad to hear that you are doing well. I was also wondering if you have heard from your friend Hope and how she is doing in Switerland. I just stopped by her thread a couple of times.

Keep the positive outlook. We are all going to be just fine.

Shouldn't have done it.

I promised myself I wouldn't look at my retirement fund due to everyone's losses. It scared me to think of how much I have lost. Well, today, I looked. At first I thought they had already cut xH a check for his part (not half, a quarter) of my retirement. Nope. They haven't even paid him out yet. I am sick.

And angry. That money was supposed to be for us. Not for just him.

Ok, done. Return to your previous channels. \:\)
