Another one locked. Didn't even expect it this time. Guess I was having too much fun, and the head cold didn't help much either.

Decided to stay home today and keep my germs to myself. I hate it when my coworkers share with me...decided to give them a break.

Our weather does not help much today. Cold, rainy and dark. Wet leaves everywhere and it's a soggy reminder of what is in store for the next few months. Oh well. A perfect day to crawl back into bed and sleep.

Oh yes, rainy days are the best sleeping days. Was chilly here last night 40's, but supposed to be in mid 70's so can't really complain!!! Hope the day of rest helps you get to feeling better.

Should be nice though for WCW's trip, looks like 70's and 80's this weekend too.

I would love everyone to keep their germs at home! Most of the staff can't afford that much time off so they come to work and spread it around.

1hope, did you get a nice dinner from H? or anything to help with your cold?

MT35, keep that weather in a holding pattern for me! I heard on the news that Topeka has the cheapest gas in the country right now. Here I come!

Really, it is $2.99 here right now. 3 miles from me in MO, it is under $2.90! I am sure after the elections it will go right back up, but going to enjoy it until then!!

Thanks friends,

I slept until 11:30. Got up and made lunch, took some more meds and have brought my picnic back to bed with me. Oh yeah, I scrawled a note to the lady that cleans for me (started her when I got sick and decided NOT to stop her service) and told her that I am sick and in the bedroom sleeping. Heaven on earth for the rest of the day.

I did get some nice dinner from H last night. Chicken and mashed potatoes with gravey. Comfort food for me.

He came home about 8:20 - only about 20 min later than he thought he'd be. Not too bad. I slept until he got here. We talked while we ate and I found out that the company truck I saw at the bar when I drove home from work was him. I guess he was coming back in to town for his dentist apt and knew he was going to be too late to go in to the shop to pick up his personal truck, so he dropped his coworker off at the bar and drove to his apt. When he finished he had to go back to the bar and pick the worker up, so he went in and had a beer with him. Then he had to drive him all the way back to the shop and pick up their own vehicles, which is when he stopped home to tell me he was going to got to the bar for a couple of hours and bring me back dinner. I swear that bar has installed magnets in the guys balls...they turn something on and it draws all of the guys in to the bar stools after 5 pm every night. Or something like that. Sorry for being crude. Must be the cold meds.

It is pouring rain here and I am listening to the happy sound of my furnace running. I HATE winter, which is a funny thing for a gal from Michigan to be saying. But I was born here so I can't even think about leaving. Besides, about all of our family is here and I would not leave my kids or grandbabies. I'll be fine once I get over the loss of summer. This happens to me every year.

Glad to hear that you have cheap gas in Kansas! The downside of listening to the furnace run is thinking about the cost of the propane. Ech! But it's only money, and I am blessed that I can go back to work tomorrow and make more. In any event, even with H doing the alien thing I feel better this year than I did at this time last year. Gotta stay positive.

Gas was $3.45 here yesterday. That's down from $4.09 same time last week. \:\(

I haven't heard a word from H since 3:30. He said he was "coming in" from his job and wanted to know if we had enought in our joint checking to fill his truck with gas. I told him that we didn't. I explained what bills had been paid etc. and told him that I had a pot roast and veggies in the crock pot, so that if he stopped at the bar he didn't have to worry about bringing me dinner.

I haven't heard a word from him since. I called at 6:30 to ask if he would bring me some juice when he came home and to tell him I was going to go ahead and eat, it went to voice mail so I left a message.

Ok. I guess I had expectations that he at least would give me a call to let me know what he was doing.

Silly me.

Guess I'll take some more cold meds and a cup of tea and go to bed.

No word yet from H and he is not answering his phone. This is unusual for him, especially when I am sick.

Maybe if I felt better it wouldn't bother me so much. I guess he must be angry at me for something.

(((((1hope)))))

Don't assume it's about you. Assuming just gets us all in trouble!

A cup of tea, and a warm bed, on the other hand, might be a great plan!
