One thing bummed me today. I discussed the procedure with one of my close friends who is a plastic surgeon. Although he is upbeat about the procedure..meaning..valid, good, works, etc....he states it is 'incredibly boring'.

So..now....is boring good at age '40 something' soon to be.....

[sigh]

I called their Chicago firm that expedites getting a medical license out of state. I think I may have this job if all proceeds as expected. Honestly...I'm scared...but....the way things are now.....I can't support my family unless I move out of state. I can't...I'd never see my kids.

Let me get this straight FIB. Your friend told you that looking at Boobs all day would get boring????

Ummmmm how do they say it in spanish, your friend is LOCO

On a serious note, I read your list and do not envy your decision making dillemma. I know in the long run you will do what is best for you and your kids though, after all that is what really matters right?

FIB, tough decision my friend. But I know that you will weigh all the pros and cons with consideration and insight. Sometimes you just have to jump from the plane and fly.

Boring right about now, might be a nice change. I think everything happens for a reason. This opportunity coming your way is what is supposed to happen to you at this time.

I know that you might feel guilty leaving patients that you can help, but you know FIB, take care of yourself for once. Do what is best for FIB and your children.

I am sure that if you feel the pull back to emergency surgery, you will be able to figure out a way to get back in that game.

Anyway, I am happy for you that people recognize your talents and gifts.

Well, welcome to LA, even if it's just a visit. If you need some tips on what to see and do let me know. I am a displaced NYer living out here for the last 10 years.

Good luck. This sure is the place for plastic surgery. \:\)

FIB you have a big decision to make. Boring could be real good at the moment. I am sure you will make the decision that is right for your family for now, doesn't mean it's forever.

Best of luck!

ok- i'm confused. if you're in ny, and park avenue is in new york, how would that be moving out of state. and would your kids stay with you or your w?
