YR,

Wow! Your thread is very popular!!!

My oldest dog will be 14 next month & my youngest is 7. My H foung the oldest dog one month after my brother had died, she was just a little puppy, he brought her home to help me get thru a hard time in my life. She is very special, well both of them are but I just can't stand the thought of loosing her right now. The holistic vet told me that she was staying here for me b/c she knew what I was going thru & that I needed her.

So, I'll do what it takes to make her comfortable, she seems happy & acts like she feels good. I think she is getting tired of dog food so I'm going to try to find some recipes & make her food. I hope that will help.

Glad your dog is better too. I had to put my beloved dog to sleep in Jan. He was my beloved friend. Now I am looking for a puppy for the kids. Doing some research. Not sure what to get this time around.

I had a Bichon. Absolutely love the breed. Want another one, but they are pricey, so I am holding off for now. My h paid half when I bought our puppy 13 yrs ago. He was my boyfriend at the time.

My h was so generous when I met him.

a few hours ago, it was humid but not too bad. i just poked my head outside and the humidity has increased so much that it was hard to breathe. and to think i am going to work in the yard again.

SF,

Thank you for asking about my dogs. They are mutts! The oldest is a doberman/collie/shepard mix & the other is a lab/german shorthair pointer mix. They were both strays. The oldest was about 11 weeks old when we got her & the youngest was about 3 months old when we got her. So we have had since they were pups! I think the youngest may have been abused b/c the vet said that her splean had been ruptured at one time but healed itself. He thinks she may have been kicked or hit by a car. Doesn't seem to have any effect on her now.

My H was crazy about these dogs too. I know he & the OW have a cat. Or she had a cat & kept saying in the emails to him, our cat etc....

I know about how you feel about your dogs. I had one that I had to put to sleep a year ago in April. My h was at work and me and my neighbor took her. He came home and feel apart. This was only a few months after he came home. I know that my dogs are loyal and stay by my side. I still have another one "Buddy" he is 7. He is a great friend, he is part lab and pit. My sons's dog is here too and he is a dobie.

I hope that your dog continues to improve.

Y
