Sending positive vibes to my H!

Well i locked a post- i must be cool now :-)
so i replied to my H tonight about his invite to dinner..then he replied no worries, etc bc i said i already ate.. and we had a few back and forths..i invited him to a coldplay concert this weekend but he cant go bc he's in a race..and he was bummed he couldnt go- now ill invite a girlfriend...so it was good and fun texts and maybe ill ask him to dinner later this week (or lunch)...overall it was good that he was very receptive to my texts and he initiated seeing me for dinner...so its all good...i can look back to when this feeling would have been so hard to achieve. i really feel like i am detaching and feel healthier overall about our interactions..plus it doesnt hurt that he wanted to see me i still have to work on my patience though!!

There you go!!!!!!! good for you that he initiated dinner talk. remember to GAL...look at smartcookie's thread...once she started to do things for herself, many things became easier in her sitch. You're feeling better about yourself, so you're feeling better about your chances with your H. plus, he's giving you all sorts of positive signs....just keep up with the patience thing....that's where GAL comes in!!! keep yourself occupied and the time will fly and you won't even know it!

thanks Neil- i think ill see if he wants to meet for a hike tonight....i agree GAL ing is great and i like how i feel...ill check out smartcookie now...patience ha ha- i realize actaully that we ( you and me and all of ud here) are very good at this patience thing- no matter how sucky we feel at times- most poeple dont have this so they end up fighting, etc and the marriage ends...we have deciced to take a harder route - and to be patient...so it is all a gift

just wanted to stop in a say Hi. I have read through all your post and am excited that you are doing so well lately. I think that you are a very strong person. All those sats you mentioned earlier point to the fact that people in his line of work are not the easiest to deal with and here you are fighting for him despite all that. that is really cool. I also have a job with a very high divorce rate and lots of stress so i can understand some of what you talked about. hope that you enjoy your hike today, with or without him. :o)

thanks jws- some days and monmets i just want to call and cry to him and tell him how much i miss him, but i dont think that woud do any good...he isnt angry with me at all, never has been, just confused for himself..i hope this all works out...the stats are scary and i think they scred him too...but i just hope we can make it through this...

That all sounds so positive, you are doing great!!

Stats are always scary, I just hope I'm going to be one of the good statistics. You are doing so well though, and the dinner initiation on his part is a great baby step.

That's so cool you're going to see Coldplay, I've been listening to their new album loads. I've always been a huge fan.

i know- so hard sometimes- i just want to put an end to this...i get so scared that something bad will happen to one of us during this- is that weird? probabaly just fear....ugh

yay! he just replied and said he wants to meet for a hike today...im so excited- its the first time he will really spend time with me and our dog together (last time she saw him she didnt get excited and he was SO sad)...ill make her get excited to see him this time! i know its sounds silly...anyway- im happy to just see him - LISTEN, VALIDATE, LOVE, CALM, COOL COLLECTED!
