Okey dokey. Last posts from Jillville were about me going to court to get money X owes me.

Sooooooo, I went. He carried in a huge box of papers. I had a small notebook. It was postponed until X had facts and figures to back up the fact that he says he doesn't owe me anything. We're talkin 35K here and I want it!!!

Next, I quit my job. I decided that because of it I wasn't doing the things I've always wanted to do when I retired. Mostly, travel. Plus, this so called "part time" job was beginning to become very time consuming with my boss calling me at home, staying late, being sent out of town for days at a time, etc. Sooooooo, Fri is my last day and I already have a couple of small trips planned.

To celebrate, MG and I are going to resort town on Lake MI this weekend and to Chicago at the end of the month. YIPPEE!!!!

And, we've completed the remodeling of the 3 bedrooms and the inside of the house is completely done!!! Had a garage sale to get rid of all the excess furniture and stuff and made $2000!!!

MG is the best!!! He's so considerate, kind, giving, and puts up with me no matter what!!! And, believe it or not, sometimes I can actually get a little pissy!!!

Now for the not so good news. My Dad is declining rapidly. He now is under hospice care at home. I went to FL a few weeks ago to get everything set up for his care and my sis will be there in a couple of days. I'll probably be going back shortly. The chemo is not working and they gave him about 4 mos but it most likely won't be that long that he'll be with us. It's so heartbreaking to see my parents go through this.

(((((Jillybean)))))

Hugs for you and your dad. Prayers for your family during this difficult time and for your dad's comfort.

Congrats on all those positive changes tho! Whatcha gonna do in Chicago? My favorites are Wrigley Field and the Art Institute, and one of these days I will have to re-visit the Oriental Institute!!

Your ex thought he could get through the hearing with smoke and mirrors aka a big box of papers. Little does he know that a determined QOE has right on her side and is not amused!

Thanks for the update!
Oh and btw, make mine a CHILLED IPA! \:D

Good for you on quitting the job. Better to not have that if you don't need to. Enjoy that trip.

Sorry about your dad. {{{Qoe}}}

Jill, I'm so sorry to hear that about your dad.

I have to admit I'm totally surprised to hear you mention the word"retirement". I thought you were much younger and independently wealthy like Bethie.

Prayers for your family.
