kiki- I wrote the following this morning before your last thread locked...but when I went to post it, it wouldn't post saying the thread was locked...that was a first. Anyway the post seems a little untimely now but I thought I would post it anyway. Glad you are feeling a little better.
(((kiki))) How could that not hurt? My ex-in-laws said they would never accept my XH OW as their DIL...ha! They have always been nice to me but they ended up welcoming OW with open arms and my XH NEVER (and most of the time still doesn't) respected my feelings when it came to crossing those kinds boundaries. It hurt like he11 but I eventually got over it. I am cordial to my ex-ILs but I lost a lot of respect for them when everything happened fortunately I don't have to deal with them now...I wish I could say that was true for my XH but I do for at least a few more years. I have struggled for the last 15 years trying to get along with my XH while he was irresponsible, irrational and hurtful. I have realized I have try (I am far from being a saint) my best to suck up the hurt and do what is best for my kids...I don't want them to be in the middle. As they get older, they are realizing more and more what the truth is.
I know you will continue to be the best mom you can be. You and your D didn't deserve this but it happened. Now you have to figure out how to make the best of it regardless of what your H does.
