My wife has now been gone since 3/03/08 and has been involved in a PA. She won't see me face to face and has been hot and cold during phone conversations. E-mails have been business like. We are at the very end of a divorce. All thats left is to divide the property and go on our seperate ways. We've been together for 30 years, 22 years married and have enjoyed a very special relationship. I'm not sure whether this falls under WAW or MLC.
However,I wrote my W a heartfelt letter about 3 weeks ago expressing my regrets over the whole situation, wrongs that I own and my profound love, admiration and respect for her. I also asked that she put a hold on the proceedings. I haven't heard a word from her or her lawyer.
I think that this might be a positive sign since there is nothing holding her back from proceeding since she is the one who filed. I get the feeling that she has felt unappreciated. I wrote her a poem today, from the heart. The poem expresses my regrets in a different sort of way. Previous to now 2 weeks has been the longest without contact from her. I sincerely hope that she is reconsidering.
What do you guys think? We grew up together and overcame many obstacles to get where we are. I love her very deeply. Always will. I've also grown tremendously through this experience. Both of us have expressed that we will never find this kind of love ever again.
