Congrats on the trip and meeting Missie Lissie. Congrats on the safe return with wonderful son. Congrats on collecting your first "ok" bf, of many.
You already know from your art that there is no "limit" to collecting. No need to cull the herd all at once. They will all have their own unique role in life. Let them compete, and enjoy the ride.
Just checking in on you. Sure wish I had made that show - meeting you and Lissie, but I know we will meet in Chicago very soon. I am still in Florida so WHO IS COMPLAINING?
Nice to have met a good companion - they are hard to come by. Everyone usually has an agenda. Best not to. Just see what happens.
I would LOVE to own one of your pieces. In Chicago I hope to get one.
My fav Chicago classes were changed but I got new workshops and I"m happy. Now my flights have been changed too but that's ok - it will all work out. Sure hope nothing else changes, though, or I"ll be wondering if it's an omen.
Ahhh Althea, as a purveyor of many many trade shows I will tell you to curb your thoughts of it not being successful. You may be amazed by a phone call in the next few weeks telling you they saw your stuff and want to meet with you. Most buyers do not buy at shows, they instead gather a list of those they wish to pursue when it is time to buy. So chin up and see what the wind blows your way. I believe that you were at that show for a reason, you may just have thought it was a different reason that it will actually turn out to be.
Glad you had fun with Lissie Bean and Jen, I can only imagine the amount of cackling that went on at that table. AND... you should get Augie an award or a medal of valour
yes Ian, that's exactly what I was told by many of the other folks there who weren't selling much. It's good advertising. I mostly just felt bad for Augie--he just couldn't understand why people weren't buying things. He really wanted to write up the tickets and sell stuff. But...he did get to write up the one ticket for the one sale, that's something at least!
Sorry I missed happy hour Figgy--hope you managed to scare up a Bulldog somewhere. What the heck is an Irish Bulldog anyway? Eh, my bartending skilz are a little on the rusty side.
All is well--should be getting to work about now but i am feeling LAZY!
MMO: Me too. First I have to get home from Florida - LOL! Might not be so easy. More snow is on the way! Tut tut - might have to stay. Boo hoo hoo. We'll see. Ashley flies home tommorrow and my flight is planned for Sat.
