Mickey - I read your post there. Glad to hear about your son.

My h sent us all gifts thi year - mine was a book - not as impersonal as it might sound because I love to read.

I also noticed that the address on the package was NOT the OWs [he was in France] but a small town about 30 minutes away! Unless they have both moved there, but it is a horrible small town . . who knows? Anyway he is in the UK now and his sons [2 and 3] have gone to see him today. Son 2 askd me about what I thought about him seeing h, and whether it would do any good. We had a long talk about MLC and his father's behaviour, and he decided to visit, and son3 decided to go too. They know it may well be tough, but they have decided that he is their father and they should go on trying to be kind andloving to him, even if he is rejecting of them.

Hmmmm, I am proud of them

Got invited to go skiing, but son 2 is staying over the New year, + friends are arriving. So I will go later. Nice to be asked! rather a good looking man in the skiing party too

Happy New Year to you Mickey!!

This is going to be a wonderful one. I have so many plans for my New Year that I am afraid to speak of them as I don't want to jinx anything!!

But lets just say it includes selling this house, storing only my personal belongings that I want to keep, packing 1 huge suitcase and going away for awhile!!!

It's been a dream of mine to be able to do this. So now it seems I can!

I'll come by Austria and visit you and your nice German friend \:\)

Hugs!

Jeanette

Oh Angelica....your sons are a product of their mother. It sounds as if H was making an attempt...and putting some serious thought into your gift. I'm happy to hear that you 'may' plan a ski trip soon. It is good that you are 'considering' your opportunities. You have a wonderful handle on all things.

Let's enjoy this thread.

Much love,
Mickey

Hi Jeanette,

Your plans sound marvelous....isn't it funny. We tiptoe around doing something good for us. LOL.

I wish you so many good things in the New Year and look forward to hearing about your plans, dreams and future. It is exciting...isn't it. I, like you, am almost afraid to get excited...but the nice thing is, we can have what we want.

Now, isn't that a nice 'turn of events'.

Love you,
Mickey

No, I live on the east coast in the US. Just had the good fortune to be able to travel Europe a couple of times. If money was no object, I would hop over to ski with you when you go. I would love to take my children on an excursion like this.

My comment about marrying a nice German boy was made, 'tongue in cheek.'

Hi Mickey !!

Just wanted to drop in and give you a ((((((((((((hug))))))))))))
Thanks for your comment on MrsH's thread....
You are right. My H is not being true to himself, so how can he be truthful to either me or the ow. Life is not always what it seems....what you see on the outside is not nescessarily what's happening inside !

I think many of our stories have proven this !

Take care, thinking of you always and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your son !

PS Angelica - I think it's admirable that your sons can open their hearts to their dad ! I think it says wonderful things about you as a mother ! You raised them well !!!!
