Interesting information that has come out recently connecting genetics to dopamine to sexual desire. Apparently we have DNA coding that makes us want more or less Dopamine. 60% of the population have DNA that asks for MORE, and 30% are looking for less. Those looking for less, have higher sex drives. Horniness Gene?
Well, what it's saying is that people who have a gene tbat codes for fewer dopamine receptors have higher sex drives. Fewer dopamine receptors have been shown in ADDH.
Also in the news....James Watson ( the DNA guy) has said that darker skin color results in higher sex drives.
Yeah, I saw that. I must admit I had to Google him, because I didn't know who he was.
It's ...well I'm not coming up with anything profound, but it seems ironic to me that people who have such great gifts to give to humanity can be so closed-minded about humanity at the same time. Richard Wagner is another example that comes to mind. He wrote some absolutely *amazing* music, but was an anti-semite, and remains a controversial figure today.

Hello. Is this news to anyone reading my threads? Like, duh...

Well, Watson is an idiot and a fraud. His female assistant did all the actual work on the DNA stuff. Clearly, since he is a very pale man he is just trying to come up with an excuse for why he could only ever get it up when spanked by a woman wearing orthopedic nurse shoes or something along those lines.

My highest sex drive is at night, but maybe I am wired backwards?
Yeah me too, what's up with that? I have always been like this. I always read that testoterone is highest in the morning but I usually am not in the mood for morning s*x, right before bed is the peak for me.

No kidding..duh is right. Supposedly there's a Parkinson medication that boosts dopamine levels, and some people take it just to have rocking s*x. They claim it makes them off the chart h*rny.
I'm sure I have abnormal dopamine receptors, I am Mr. Activity, love caffeine and speed, always on, etc. And I'm on this forum...

Dopamine also greatly increases the psychological effect of "salience". Things seem to have greater importance or meaning so I believe that it is highly possible that people with differing dopamine levels find sex more or less of a meaningful or transcendent experience. I fairly frequently "trip out" during sex. It's kind of disturbing to think that maybe I could be having such a deep experience and my partner might just be "getting off". Fortunately, lately I've been hanging out with a man who says things like "How could your X have chosen to leave such a sensual woman?". Perhaps it was dopamine deprivation.
