Thanks folks for your input. I am going to get that bike or a different one if it is unavailable. This is why.

I just got a call from my uncle that my grandmother passed away. My W is being extremely sweet and wants to be there when I tell the kids. She also wanted to spend the evening with the family before she learned about this. She hasnt said if she will go to the funeral but I cannot imagine her not attending with us because she loves my entire family (no one other than my sister, her husband and my mother know about my marriage troubles).

I am getting the bike because life is short. A bike is not an affair and it is not leaving your family. It is something to enjoy, not positive or negative, plus it helps relieve stress.
