Sue how are you???????

I saw that you posted on sunflower's thread. Just yesterday I was wondering about you, thinking how long it had been since I had seen you post.

I hope you and snooky are well and happy. Let us know.

Hugs.

Hi all,

Just to get everyone up to date. H is still "best friends" with ow even though they do not live together. He is totally off the deep end and is not paying any of the joint bills and judging from the many creditors that are calling our home phone, he isn't paying his credit cards either. His daughter was paying his bills but now that he is not working, she gave him the check book back and told him to try to pay his bills when there wasn't any $$$$$ to pay them with.

He wants me to hurry up and get the deal with the house settled but my attorney is not in any hurry now that he knows how desperate he is for $$$$ because that may work to my advantage in the end. Besides, he want 50% of the equity in the house, but he doesn't own 50%. It is complicated because we bought the house before we were married so it is more like a business deal. I really don't want to hurt him but I need to look out for #1 (me) especially since I am on unemployment now. My boss has told me that I will be called back but I am not sure and it is hard to find something else close to home. I can't move because my dad is 86 this year and I won't leave him all alone with no one to check on him.

I went through a few months after I got laid off that I felt I had nothing to offer to anyone, myself included. Now I am on the
uphill climb out of that pitt and have decided to come back here and post again. My faith and friendship with God has done alot to help me with this battle.

My daughter just got back from a trip to Germany for work and just told me that she will be going back there at least 4 times in the next year for work related issues. How lucky!!!!!! She had meetings in Sweeden on Monday and in Germany on Tues. & Weds. and then she paid for her hotel till Sunday and did the tourist thing. She loved every minute of it. She also told me
she will be coming home the beginning of July for a few weeks and bringing all of the animals (2 huge dogs and 2 cats). That will make poor Snooky crazy again. She ignores the cats but those big dogs get on her nerves.

I am so happy to see that everyone is making so much progress. Even though I wan't posting, I was keeping up with all of you everyday.

We have a couple of inches of snow on the ground overnight with another 12-14 inches coming Sat night into Sunday. I guess I better go shovel what is out there now to make room for the next deluge. Isn't winter in Wisconsin wonderful?????????!!!!!!!! I will keep you posted on the blizzard, as they are calling it on TV. We are supposed to get winds of 30-40 mph. That should make things extra nice.

Take care

HI sue,

I'm so glad you have updated us, and so glad that you are on the uphill climb again and feeling better.

Sounds like your L has things well in hand as far as the house goes, and that you have done a really great job of detaching from H and his woes.

I just was watching the weather channel and it does look pretty bad for Wisconsin today. I hope you got your garage door fixed so you can get in and out. OTOH, hope you and snooky are well-provisioned, you can just stay in and let the storm pass.

Please don't disappear for so long again, I really think we do all support each other in amazing ways.

Hugs.

Just a quick update to let everyone know that after 3 hours of hard cold work, my son got my garage door working better than it has in years. He installed a new spring on each side and reprogrmed the opener. He is a perfectionist and has it working better than it ever did before. He oiled every moving part and it no longer squeeks or jerks as it opens and closes. He is so much like his grandpa, he can fix anything. He is the best!!!

No snow this afternoon but it is windy and the forecasters keep saying it is coming. Pretty ominous feeling, just witing for it to start, that is.

Take care
Sue
