Arghh, new format takes a bunch of getting used to

How do I tell which threads have unread with this new format??? The old BB had them in a different color and bolded, so I could tell at a glance which threads had new replies. Not being able to tell, I just haven't bothered to look.

Far left column... if the folder is yellow ther is are new posts in that thread.

How about the emoticons we used to be able to insert into a reply, are they somewhere too?

If you use the quick reply box like I'm doing, the emoticon menu is not there. You can still insert them if you remember what they are. In order to view the emoticon palette, you have to use the reply box at the bottom of the post, as with the old board. But then you have to wait for a new screen to load and some of us are impatient.
